well i have my card oc'ed so i get 4300 3dmark06 score and yet....

when i play even at this max power and 1280x800 resolution the FPS are in the 20 range....all settings max...

so now im playing it on a smaller resolution i think 1024x700 or something along those lines. All settings LOW. that seems to work fine. other than that and it starts to lag a bit.

i got 169.04 drivers... at this rate i dont think ill be buying crysis...

btw i played a bit of bioshock today and its one of the most awesome games i ever played... Reminds me of Deus Ex actually with the biomods and all. bloody good.

so my question for you is what drivers you guys use? and what settings? whats ur fps ?

I HEARD THAT 163.44 are good for bioshock, but im thinking if the 169.04 wouldnt already have all of the stuff 163's got since its a later version. anyway tell me what u got pplz.

i just did some fraps work. this is 1280x800 on all high settings. From the time im in the water to run to the house. i looked back to the fire twice.

    Frames: 649 - Time: 97491ms - Avg: 6.657 - Min: 3 - Max: 14
EDIT: i will re-run the benchmark again to see if i get the same results. It is possible that i left it on stock frequencies rather than the OC'ed ones.

avg 6 fps? that speaks for itself. i feel like im watching a phot album. o_O

EDIT: i just found out the problem. ati tool sometimes doesnt change the frequencies on the video card. this what made me run bioshock on.... u ready for this ? 170/100 instead of 630/500. now that i ran it correctly (after a system restart). So running on MAX SETTINGS and 1280x800 gets me this (FPS):

intro from the time im in the water to reaching the black door:
    2007-11-09 19:31:39 - Bioshock
    Frames: 1690 - Time: 74128ms - Avg: 22.798 - Min: 14 - Max: 60

Running around and shooting some random splicers indoors.
    2007-11-09 19:34:35 - Bioshock
    Frames: 6361 - Time: 183650ms - Avg: 34.637 - Min: 11 - Max: 61.

AVG 35 FPS ! this game looks so ****ing good now ! the time on the 2nd benchmark is long because i got so into it and just started playing instead of turning it off lmfao.

still im wondering if 133.44 are better? I cant ask for more i must say im really impressed now but still wondering if people are getting more with their cards.
