    black 1420 still in build stage

    Wow, this really stinks. I ordered my black 1420 on august 7th and got a ESD of the 21st. I called up the good old automated service line today and it states that it is still in the build stage. I am assuming that there is no way that my laptop will be shipped today. Is that a good assumption?

    Unfortunately I doubt you'll get it today, I ordered on 8/2 and mine is out for delivery this morning.

    Interesting, I ordered a white 1420 on 8/5 and ESD is 8/23. It's in Boxing right now so we'll see. The black at the time you ordered had no backlog, but the white when I ordered had 2 days delay. I would call a csr and see if they'll up you to next day shipping.

    yeah, unfortunately I already was given next day shipping so, maybe I'll get something else from them?

    yeah it does, i did a live chat with dell today, and they said the new date is august 28th, he said the delay was because of black lids, so we will see what happens
