    so my inspiron 1520 got delayed until 9/1
    this is bull****. i asked if there will be any compensation and the answer was no.
    i ordered on the 9th and it was expected to ship on the 24th. :mad:

    did the same thing happen with anyone else?

    it'll most likely happen to the majority, considering how late you ordered it. unless you meant july 9th.

    They are still neck deep in orders (especially colors). They are just now getting to orders from around the 20th last month. As for compensation, it's a hit or miss sort of thing. I got compensation for my first order, which they promptly took away when I cancelled, but have gotten none for this order.

    no i ordered on the 9th of this month. i ordered jet black color too. i thought the delays were only on the lids but apparently they're not. i'm never buying from dell ever again.

    Jet black has also been delayed from the sheer volume of people switching to it. A month wait is the norm right now.

    blahboy, i don't see you complaining about the price you got...thats because you probably got one of the lowest prices on the market atm. if you don't like dell's service why put up with it? just walk into an electronic store and buy a laptop and walkout.

    i got a good price for a good laptop. i want this laptop but the customer service is just unbelievably stupid.

    Youve only been waiting 14 days, and you are already angry?

    Go to the thread in my sig, and see how 14 days compares to most people. I waited 40 days. There are a number of 50-day waiters, and very soon there will be members of the 60-day wait club.

    I know there are people who ordered as early as July 7th and havent received their 1520s yet. And it is worse for the M1330, 1720, and 1420s.

    if you received your laptop and you ordered 7/7 i order 7/19 i should get it soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hopefully...

    you shouldnt be complaining about the wait times nor the customer service. if you really want compensation, then do it when you've waited 31+ days. theyll prob be less inclined to do it now though, since the reps know that some customers are trying to take advantage of the delay excuse.
