    hi i just purchased a dell studio 15 1558 model with i5 core explorer i want to know if i can replace the dvd rew/player in its optical drive with a blu ray player later on

    The optical is removable so it should be possible to replace it with a blu ray drive if one is available.

    I can't thin of any reasons why it wouldn't work.

    It's fairly easy to install it. Just make sure you read through the service manual on Dell site.

    Look for "CA10N" on ebay. That's the drive you need. Hope that helps!
