Hey everyone, first time poster here. i've just got a new m1530 with the blu ray drive, and ive just tried to play a region B blu ray disc but it won't let me play it in media direct. it says my player is not region b...but i got it from dell.co.uk and i live in england. in the device manager it shows the drive as being a dvd drive and being set to region 2 though. i just tried a different movie, and that is a region free blue ray disc and that worked fine on it. how can i get this region b disc working, even though i'm sure the drive should be european and region b. can i find the region of my blu ray drive somewhere? i would like to still use media direct as i like not having to have the o/s on to watch a film. cheers for any help in advance.

its a matsh ita bd-re 225 drive if that is any help.

I don't think you can change the region settings of the drive, can you?

it's easy to change the region setting for the drive - but does anyone know if it's unlimited changes??

with dvds in laptops, you can only change the region 6 times - and a warning pops up when you try to change the region to let you know.

but the bluray region changes don't have any warnings - so does this mean it's unlimited? anyone tried?
