hey all
I am waiting on my replacement for M1330, and the EDD was 9/21. It went into boxing stage on Sunday, and ever since then it's stuck there. When I call the automated order status system, and say continue, instead of saying the estimated shipping date, I get "No further information is available."
I called Dell three times in the past three days, and each of one them had no idea what's going on and couldn't provide me ESD. They all said it will be shipped in 3-5 business days. I asked them to check to see where the system is in production line, and they all said, "Boxing." My 20 month nephew can box faster than these guys.
One CSR said some of the parts for M1330 are on back order, and maybe that's why. I was like, why would that matter since the system is already built, gone through testing stage, and now in boxing. Unless you guys are giving the wrong information, and in reality it's not in the boxing stage, it shouldn't matter if the parts are on back order or not. The CSR had no response or comment.
I am getting really pissed off now. My school starts, and I need a working, decent build quality laptop from Dell! I paid $2100 dollars for it. They can't just send me in circles. I live 4 hours away from my school, and if they delivery it next week, I will have to waste 8 hours driving to pick up the laptop.
Any had this happen to them?
Thanks.

Stuff happens. If it's past your ESD, maybe you can get them to overnight it to you.

the 'boxing' stage is not really for boxing. it is dell shipping the laptop from somewhere, likely malaysia, to nashville. from nashville it is given to dhl and delivered. this is why it takes awhile to 'box' your laptop.

^^^ correct... as long as its in the "loop" they usually will not compensate further than overnight shipping... just fyi i was told by dell escalations "boxing" could take from 2-30 days... i know id be pissed if it took that long
boxing stage for 6 days?!!!?!
