Hey people. I was wondering what is the best method to replace my screen because I accidentally hit it and now it has a dented mark :(

If I was to call Dell and them to fix it, would they send a representative to my house and fix it or would it require me to mail my laptop in?

Do you have accidental coverage? if you do, it might be covered under your warranty.

Dell Spare Parts will only sell you the part and send it to you. You'll be required to install it, but it is fairly easy. Takes about 30 minutes to an hour, only because there are a ton of screws.

So they will send the parts and you install it yourself? That's pretty good because i want to keep everything on my hard drive and not willing to send in my laptop because I need it for college.

They basically send you the LCD. You use the same bezel and back cover that you have now unless you order new ones. The only delicate part is trying to get the top bezel off. Its a bit tricky, but dell has directions on LCD replacement on their website.
