build stage?!

ok so i ordered my 1521 on aug 29......i got nothing special. i got it jetblack so there wouldnt be delays with the lid color but i see that many ppl have theirs in boxing already mine has been in "build" for a while. yes i'm impatient. does anyone know how long its in the build stage?

 

well, the order status page isnt working, so that will keep saying production, even if it shipped.thats what happened to me

 

Yeah same here, still in Production, even when i call and type in my order # it still says "You are in the build stage of production".

 

for mine the web pages says "in production" but when I called the 800 number tonight to get the order status it said its in the Boxing stage

 

grrrrrrr lol seeing that you ordered yours two days before me i hope in the next two days mine will finally be in boxing haha.

 

Yeah same here, i will be crossing my fingers! But i Ordered a 1720 not the 1520 hope it doesnt make a diff..

 

ALLWAYS call the number instead of using the status page trust me.

 

when you call the # do you get an actual person? or do you get an computer?

from what i have read many have waited from 7-15 days. its a lot i know.

 

mine is in boxing now!!! 13 days in production

 

mine just went to boxing today also, 9 days in production. it had an ESD of sept. 25th so hopefully it will be here at least a week before that

 

Or they could just hold it untill the 25th I read in a couple threads that they have done it before My order is in boxing but still has a ESD of Sept 21..

 

that would seriously suck if they hold it until then, what would be the point of that?

 

Man I am STILL in boxing.... I got there on the 8th..... and now its just a couple of hours from the 12th Ahhhhh its killing me.

lol seriously though i have a funny feeling there gonna hold it unill our ESD.. I have been reading up on the possibility of them actually holding it and the chances of them doing so are high! Bastards!!

 

lol i think your right.even if were on priority build they are going to build it asap and hold it in the warehouse just to **** with us... and then ship it on our esd!!! to bad their is no priority ship..lol

Is Dell located in Sparks, NV? I just just my tracking # and it said my system was in sparks, NV wich is two hours away from me (San Francisco).. Thats crazy that means it should be here tomorrow!

Mine shipped yesterday from Nevada too. Got it today with overnight shipping. From Sparks NV, DHL took it to their Riverside CA regional hub, then to Spectrum Park where it went on the delivery truck.

 

Me too, Sparks NV to Cheyenne next busness day I hope it come tomorrow... I will freak out if I dont have it befor the weekend

 

woohoo just shipped an hour or two ago, i'm so happy! that means i'll get it probably a week in advance of when it was supposed to be delivered and i'll get it before leaving for college

Mine shipped out yesterday, and i got NBD shipping! It should be here today in a couple minutes I will post Pictures/Video/First Impressions of it when i get it today!

just got the tracking number, it says its in sparks, nevada! is there any way to get more detailed info of where it is at the moment or does it just say the center it was last in. also it only says shipment acknowledged, does that mean it hasn't started moving out yet?

 

I just got my Inspiron 1720.. AND ITS SO ****IN HOTT!!!!! I love it! I will post up some pics and what not later on tonight.. Right now i'm unistalling all the bloat that came with it..
