If I call Dell support and ask to speak to a "higher up"(manager), would they be able to individually check or find out about the status of a laptop? I am currently 3 weeks/2 delays in waiting and in the build stage. If it doesn't ship on Tuesday, keep in mind it is still in the build stage so chances are it won't, it will be my third delay.
I have not heard of anyone getting 3 delays and I am beginning to think something may be wrong with my laptop, or possibly the laptop not even in the build stage for some reason.

I'm in the same boat. Ordered mine July 27th and its been delayed twice. It looks like it is going to be delayed again because it's still in the build stage and it's supposed to ship 8/19.
