I was wondering if my e1705 could be used to watch tv or connect my ps2 using the tvbox 1440 http://www.kworldcomputer.com/product/analog/012/TVBOX1440.htm
It worked fine back when I was at home using my desktop monitor, but now on campus I only have my laptop. Is there any cables or such that will allow the laptop to watch tv through the tvbox?

Doesn't look like it should work...

Looks like this device takes the SVideo out from your Video Card and feeds it to the monitor on its DSub port allowing it to integrate the TV into the stream sent to the monitor? If that is the case it won't work on a laptop since the laptop doesn't have an external DSub port designed to give a feed to the monitor....

If you want TV on your laptop a Express Card or PCMCIA (depending on which port your laptop has) would work the best ;)

A TV Tuner should work for the TV, and you may also may be able to use it to transmit a signal to the LCD display of the notebook. However, it would depend on the TV Tuner selected, as quite a few don't have inputs.
