    my status hasn't changed since 08/08 so can my laptop be shipped if online status says in production?

    Sure, if they aren't updating the website promptly. If you call in to check on it, you'll find out what stage of production it is in: kitting, building, boxing, etc. In the US, that number is 1-800-433-9014.
