    can the inspiron 1520 burn dual layer dvd's?

    i bought an inspiron 1520 last year and was wondering if i can burn and read dual layer dvd's. the part number is 313-5197 for my dvd drive and it just says DL and doesnt mention if it can burn DL.

    I don't know many (if any) DVD burners that can read dual layers but can't burn them. My assumption is yes, considering all semi-recent DVD burners can do it.

    Just about every current dvd burner can burn DL dvds.
