my sister recently bought me a inspiron 700m. the notebook is for my school purposes.so i tried to play my dvd but could not it prompted me something like "dvd decoded not available". it tried to play in windows media player but could not so i'm not sure what the problem lies with. in my program there is no PowerDvd.
However they give me CD-roms software on reinstalling cyberlink powerdvd , reinstalling sonic mydvd and recordnow and reinstalling Dell Media Experience because they already installed in my comp.
But i noticed that in my All programs all this three programs are not there. so i'm not sure if it is installed or not.By the way i'm not so expert in comp.
Thanks, really hope of an answer.

All you'll need to do is install CyberLink PowerDVD (its the standard decoder for Dell). Once it is installed, you should be able to watch DVD's using either Windows Media Player, PowerDVD, Dell Media Experience or another player that you might like.
Hope this helps,
