    Hey

I have tried playing the simpsons from my laptop onto my HD TV via the HDMI cable, but it is only playing the sound from my laptop, but when I test the hdmi it goes on my tv with a loud bing bank test.

Any ideas, have i got to alter anything ?

    Thanks guys

right click on the sound icon go to playback devices and make sure HDMI is set to default.

HDMI has both video and sound. S-video has no sound whatsoever.

Do what jazzjackrabbit said. You don't need a s-video cable at all.

I have just done that and will give it a try.

I had a s-video cable so stuck in my 1530 and had sound, but its a bit of a pain having 2 cables coming out of both ends.

    Thanks.
