This is very unusual. Have you tried a different memory stick? If so, I suggest contacting Dell.

for more information.. i did a clean install /w xp.. installed all the driver(xp versions)
could it be incompatibility of xp?
system is e1705 and came with vista.

Blue Screen showed Bad_Pool_Header. D; I guess Ive got the defective 1 for card reader.

Try it with a SD card. It may not be compatible with the memory stick duo.
A clean install is a drastic measure.

I had the same problems before in XP. I would download the Ricoh driver on dell web site and reinstalled. Make sure the download do not get corrupted or mess up on the way.

I have the same problem here with mine.

I insert a memory stick, any sony size, then a BSOD popup. Restarting the computer won't be good enough, once it past the Windows logo screen, BSOD immediately pop. I have to remove the stick.

I have the most recent drivers from Ricoh, using XP Media Center (sp2).

    BSOD indicate:

    BAD_POOL_HEADER

    0x00000019 (yada yada)
