    by clean installing what programs are we getting rid of? any of them useful?

    how do we clean install? can we just use the OEM disks dell gives us or would we have to get another vista disk to install?

    i have some links on how to clean install xp but i cant seem to find any for vista, any help?

    Go to Dell.ca and search clean install vista. You will find many threads that I led regarding this.

    If it's a notebook, first, you should have been included a disc and instructions on how to set up Dell Media Direct. Do that before your clean install. Then use the disc labeled Operating System for installing Vista. Then go to Dell.ca and find all the drivers for your model and configuration, and install them one by one.

    At least that's how it worked on my Inspiron 1520. I just did it because I'm crazy and don't like my computer coming with software.
