aiite, i'll reply, and for your questions

screen demensions-8600 owns the advantage because it boasts a 15.4 inch widescreen while the 600m only has a 14.1 inch reg. screen.
8600-definetaly more reliable than 600m, but ur plannin to not watch dvd's or do some heavy gaming(halo,farcry,doom3etc.)then you can go for a 600m, but the 8600 definetaly comes through when it comes to features (yet i dont know if it comes through in quality[ ;)]).
cooler- well obviously i would think the 600m is cooler because its NOT NEARLY as powerloaded as the 8600. i think i mite have heard something about the 8600 being associated with overheating, but i dont know if that happens on all models, and if your going to game, make sure you get the 8600 because you cant replace a graphics card in a notebook once its in. thats all
