That message is when startup is reading from the HDD, you need to set it to read from the DVD. Make sure you click on a key when it tells you to press any key to start windows installation.

If you will take your time and follow the guide I'm going to link you to, you will have more fun installing windows. Not only is this the quickest method, but also the most enjoyable method of installing windows.

I have all my windows versions on bootable flash drives.

Technically it's Preboot eXecution Environment (pronounced pixie). A PXE boot is for booting from a network regardless of storage or operating system. It has nothing to do with a HDD. The BIOS setting needs to be boot from DVD. Would have same issue with flash drive if boot order is not changed in the BIOS first.

To the OP, press F12 to change your boot order to DVD.

So technically he needs to boot from the DVD?

If he by passes the DVD or USB option, then yes...PXE will attempt to boot because he by passed the DVD or USB boot option. Sometimes, there are unreadable DVD's or it takes too long for the Optical drive to read the DVD, that is why USB would be a better option of installing windows. The OP didn't ask for that information, I was just offering him another way to install windows.

Don't forget to press a key when booting from DVD OP, or the DVD will be by passed and you will get the same error. ;)

NOTE : PXE was not the cause of the failure, no operating/non readable boot system found on the HDD was the culprit.

If you didn't do a clean install of windows, you should still have a factory restore option available to you. Hold CTRL and hit F10 at the same time to see if it brings up the restore properties/recovery mode?

Nevermind...I see that you said you've installed and also wiped your drive, so restore through CTRL is not possible. As said..if it's not detecting your DVD, try USB.
