I am trying to send my video signal from my laptop to my analog tv. I have a Inspiron 1520 laptop with a NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT video card. I hard wired the laptop and TV with yellow composite cable with an s-video adaptor (composite on tv and s-video on laptop).

When I try to setup for multiple displays I choose CLONE, but there is only a multiple selection option in the pulldown for LAPTOP DISPLAY AND HDTV. Can I not display image on my analog tv?

    thanks

Unless your TV and laptop monitor have the exact same resolution, try something other than Clone.

The only other option is "dual view" which I have tried. I did try setting the laptop to the minimum resolution before attempting the multiple display.

I get a short flash of the laptop screen on the TV when I attempt the multiple screen display (laptop + HDTV). I also receive the RIGOROUS DISPLAY DECECTION dialogue box after trying to display on TV. I then let it automatically find a matching display, but the system is "unable to find additional displays".
