    connect disconnect sound when open lid on 1420

    Whenever I open the lid of my laptop i always hear the connect sound as if i just plugged in a flash drive. I'm assuming this is b/c the monitor is turning on therefore it is as if a new device was plugged in...is there anyway to turn this off without turning off the connect/disconnect sound? I still want the sound when i plug in flash drives but not when i open my laptop
