I've had my current notebook for 2 months and have been having problems with heat since the beginning. I discovered recently that this is a common problem with Dell 600ms and that Dell has known jabout it for some time.
I've read through the accessory thread on coolers and have already tried the lapinator and am not trying the targus.
Apparently different coolers are set up to fan different parts of the notebook- some work best when the notebooks vents are on the bottom and others won't work well with a bottom vent.

I'd like to know what coolers owners of dells have found helpful.
    Thanks
