ok my second topic, and i was only planning on posting the one

8600, brand new, top left hand corner, where the cooling fan is i believe, there is a high pitched sound coming, quiet, but still its there, and when i scroll through pages, it gets louder, should i be worried?

Late at night (when all is quiet), I can hear a very quiet high pitched sound that sounds more electronic than a fan whirl. I'm assuming thats OK and just the CPU noise coming through the speakers. Yes it changes pitch as you scroll or use the HDD.

Well, I had another high pitch sound too, but it was coming from the secondary fan that cools the graphics card (located under the keyboard). Turns out it was vibrating against the keyboard (rather annoying) possibly because of the dust/fluff that had accumulated on it so I removed the keyboard and cleaned the fan.

The primary fan you speak of occasionally gets dust/fluff on it as well, so I unscrew and remove the fan module and clean it from time to time.[8D]
