    I have 2 Dells...an Inspiron 1525 (wal-mart special) and a BRAND NEW Studio
that I shut off 2 nights ago and woke up to some error saying I needed to put in start up disk and pick my language and re-install..OMG! Anyway..did that and all sorts of issues happening now...but my main question for starters...my 1525 has always had a crazy cursor..I'll be typing and all of a sudden my cursor jumps back up into the middle of some sentence that I typed 5 minutes ago! Now that I've reinstalled Vista on the Studio..it's doing it too! Can anyone help??
Also..while I got your help...Lots of the preloaded software that was on the Studio..won't go back on even tho I have the disks...says drivers aren't right..even tho I have the disk for the drivers..the screen looks funny when I go online...also when I boot it up..it goes into a almost DOS screen that was never there before before windows boots?? Any ideas for me??
    Thanks

The most common reason for these crazy cursor messes is that the user is brushing the touchpad ever so lightly whilst typing, causing the cursor to jump to some arbitrary point on the screen. Try disabling your touchpad and seeing if you still have the issue.

Ive watched very carefully for that...I dont seem to be doing that. It happens to everyone who uses the computer as well. It appears that the cursor jumps back to a word or a letter that it has used before previously in the text. Crazy or what? And the 2nd computer didn't do it til I reinstalled the software..?
