    Hi,
sorry for post on the same same last added topic, but i have a new discovery.
So, little recapitulation: when i turn off videos (avi, mpeg, xvid,..)played with WMP 11, WMP Classic or VideoLAN players, my LCD (15" 1024x768) begin to blink. - this situation became only when notebook use a battery.
When notebook use the electric energy, everything goes without problems.
I`ve used the diagnostic cd, and the result for everything is - pass. In my opinion this is a software problem, probably with power management. I`ve changed the properties of power management in "dell quick set" (there wasn`t preferences, which may be connected with my problem) and nothing. The same problem....
    The battery is ok.
I`ve used to windows xp professional with sp2.
My problem isn`t with using incorrect codecs (I`ve tried to use CCCP codecs, ffdshow, K-Lite, XP codec pack - independently of course) Hardware drivers are new, downloaded from dell`s support homepage.
THX a lot for your answers... im very desperate
