Get the Intel Wifi card. I feel it connects faster to preferred profiles and other Wifi networks faster.

I recommend getting the RESOURCE CD which contains the drivers - it is free.

I'm going to actually not order the fingerprint reader (I can't find a use for it, except "COOL"). I might add another gig if it's not too $$$...but I've heard from other people to buy it somewhere else afterwards...not sure about that.

Yes you really should buy the RAM from another place like newegg.com. Dell charges a ridiculous amount for the RAM sticks.

Personally, I would recommend going with the Intel card also. Supposedly that is the better card out of the two (fewer drop connections, longer range, etc) and it consumes less battery than the dell card.

yeah, the intel card is VERY nice. And get your ram from newegg. Dell makes you pay a ton for hyundai brand ram, which is absolute garbage.

My current laptop has an external Linksys, I'm guessing the Intel is inside (centrino?)...same thing for the Dell card (inside?)
Will definitely buy the RAM outside, 1 GB is $150 with dell...
    Thanks!!!

1GB of DDR2-667 is very low-priced (~$80) on Newegg, I agree with SG, fizzleation:

This is actually a very useful feature - logging on to your account requires simply a swipe of the finger. Also possible to encrypt documents for fingerprint authentication and such. I thought it was a gimmick until I got a review laptop that had one. Cool, but VERY convenient.
