Hi, can you please write your benchmark points for d630 here? I would especially like to know the 3dmark2001SE scores of that machine. Oh, and I'm only interested in d630's with x3100 card. Writing your full conf would be better ofc :)

    Thanks.

You can expect somewhere around 6500 on 3DMark2001. X3100 has a very weak integrated graphics processor, therefore don’t expect high 3D marks or good gaming performance.

Well that's odd, because i got only 2800 points with 3dmark2001SE

2800 is pretty low, even lower than the old GMA900 (according to above benchmark list). Make sure you are running the default benchmark (default resolution & gfx settings). Also check for driver updates, try the Intel VGA driver instead of the DELL branded one.

Background appliactions and amount of RAM also can affect the final result.

Strange thing about that website is that there is not mentioned what CPU did they use to make these benchmarks. Nothing besides graphic card is written in there. Maybe the computer they used had like 4 gbs of ram and some really good processor?

No, I don’t think so. They normally update their page as soon as a new graphics card comes out, therefore most probably they are using whatever the configuration they can get their hands on (may not be the best). For example those GMA900 scores are probably with a Pentium M and Go 7000 series are with Core Duo (first generation). I have a M1210 with Go 7400 , Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz and 2GB RAM, mine score roughly around 2200 3DMark 2005 marks with a clean installation and moded drivers; but that site lists 1900 points for it (most probably because they must have done that benchmark with a Core Duo or maybe even a Pentium M and with very early driver version).

Here is a D630 review by notebookreview.com, it has 2GB of system RAM and score 915 in 3D mark 2005 and 564 in 3D mark 2006 (both of which are almost same as what is listed in that site 922 and 479 respectively). Therefore I guess those scores are not taken with insanely good configurations. Besides, CPU speed and RAM has little effect on 3D performance after a certain point, for example having 4GB will have no effect over 2GB or having a Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz will have less than 100~200 point difference over a 2.0GHz, because 3D performance largely depends on the power of the GPU (graphics processing unit).
