hello all! new to the forums. i'm going to college in august and i've narrowed down my graduation gift to be a dell latitude d630. hopefully we'll be ordering it in the next week or so.
anyways, i have a few quick questions.

when i'm customizing one on dell's site, it gives me the option of selecting 2gigs of ram as one DIMM. will this be under the keyboard or under the laptop?

also, when i'm choosing my wi-fi card, it shows this:
    Dell Wireless™ 1490 802.11a/g Dual-band Mini Card [add $19]
    Intel® 3945 802.11a/g Dual-Band Mini Card [add $29]
    Dell Wireless™ 1505 Draft 802.11n Mini Card [add $39]
Dell Wireless™ 1395 802.11g Mini Card [Included in Price]
i'll only be connecting with the university's network and at my house. so which should i choose? money is not a problem really.

i think that's all i'm confused about for now.
    thanks

One of the DIMM is under the keyboard. If you order a 1 GB (1 DIMM), the RAM will be under the keyboard unless you order a 1 GB (2 DIMM - 512 each).

For wireless, the general opinion is to choose the intel wireless card for best compatibility.

why is it that the general opinion is to choose wireless? i'm inept at this stuff so a lil info would be nice. the other options are there for a reason right?
