Hey everyone, well I got my d820 yesterday and I have to say, it doesn't feel that solid, at least to me. I *thought* that the casing was magnesium alloy, but nope, it's good ole' plastic! Maybe the chassis is metal, whatever, but it feels like an Inspiron with me. Keep looking guys.

Well I just read that it's several coats of paint which makes it feel like plastic. Too bad they couldn't have just put a powder coat or enamel on it to let the metal really show through well. Oh well, what ya expect with Dell anyway I suppose. It does feel more solid than an Inspiron, but it's not like a tank or anything. I'm sure it'll be fine, but I was just expecting more.

The 21 day counter starts from when it ships from Dell. If it shipped from Dell on the 10th, you have until the 31st; even if you picked it up on the 19th, for example.
