Try using the online storage that came with the xps' for transferring.

As for the shooters, turn your refresh rate up and it might fix it. When I had my refresh rate too low I'd constantly get headaches and not feel great while playing.

Burn some data DVD's, you can burn 13GB in 3 discs on single layered DVDs.

Refresh rate on LCD screens is constant at 60Hz. Some people can't handle the rapid movement of FPS games. Try altering your environment: more or less light in the room can help, as can shorter game sessions.

I set up printer/folder sharing between my desktop and HP laptop. If you have a wireless network this is the easiest way. You will be able to see your other computer and its just a matter of cut/paste. Its even possible to stream mp3's from my box to my laptop. Videos seem to studder however. It might take several hours to transfer that much data this way.. I blame vista for that. Vista has reported networking issues. But it will work.

Another way is to set up ICQ chat on both your machines. If both your systems are set up on broadband it will be fast. I used ICQ to transfer files at 6 megabit speeds which is the limit of my old SMC router. It was faster then my printer/sharing is now. But that was before Vista was in the network mix. I blame Vistas DRM protection and it always seems like its checking the files and you see the calculating how long it will take message window.. appears to pause.. before transferring. I am not happy with Vistas networking performance.. but I am not alone. Hopefully MS fixes this.

You could take some dramamine before playing... That is a way to relieve motion sickness; it works wonders when on a boat on the ocean.

The easiest ways are to borrow an external HD from a friend or do the ethernet cable.

You will need a crossover cable, not just a regular one. (I think)

    I'm just curious, what's your 1530's resolution? That's some pretty remarkable performance :D I can't wait for my 1530 to come :)
