    I was wondering which GPU would be best in the long run when I am intended to run Ubuntu? Can the x3100 support an external monitor with 1920x1200 in dual mode?

    Is the d630 compatible with the T5450?

    On the side note: I do not game or intended to run windows natively. However, I do some 2d game creation using Multimedia Fusion 2 in a virtualized windows. I watch a lot of movies (files and dvd) as well. Thanks!

    You've got a D630 already so you know the quality. Not sure you'd be as happy with a M1330...

    As for external monitar resolution: 2048x1536
