The next gen wireless-n wireless card is now causing delays on systems.

damn u gotta be kidding!
-
Yeah, it seems everyone's wanting something that they're probably not going to use (Wireless-N probably will never make it to mainstream, newer and faster wireless devices will come out).
-
Is it easy to upgrade the video card by myself if I just got the other wireless card for now?
-
It is impossible to upgrade ur video card by yourself. You need professionals for that. Next Gen card is bascially useless if u ask me
-
Do you think the Intel® 3945 802.11a/g Mini-card would be fine to get?
-
Umm I swear everyday its X component that is causing delays

Ever since Michael Dell returned to the company, he has personally planted a big, wet kiss on every notebook before it is shipped. Unfortunately, he currently has a cold sore, so all notebook shipments are delayed indefinitely.

If you ordered a 1520/1720 with an 8400, you will be able to upgrade to the 8600m GT by yourself. It's not an easy task, but it's doable. If you went for the integrated graphics, it might not be possible (this was the case with the older chipsets).
If your ordering a 13.3 or 14.1 inch system, buy the best graphics you can get. -
so i'll be able to upgrade the card after the fact? That's cool. I'm going on newegg right now. lol

NOtebook graphic cards are made by a different manufacturer so it can fit the shape and voltage and whatever else necessary components the notebook might need. So your 8600gt might be drastically different than 7200's 8600gt because both notebooks are different sizes, different cooling, therefore require different manufacturing. Thus, changing them is near impossible unless the notebook graphics card your getting is the same size as the one you have in your laptop, which is why if you rodered 8400gt with your notebook, you might be able to upgrade to 8600gt from the same notebook.
