My Studio 17 has DigitalPersona software for the built-in fingerprint reader. My smartass nephew visiting from Montreal thought it would be funny to scan HIS fingerprint in under my user....now I can't delete it because he's gone back home (I considered calling my brother and getting him to send his kid's finger in the mail..hehe). Does anyone know how to get rid of unwanted fingerprints? Would a system restore point delete it? I really don't want to reinstall the OS.

I'm sorry, but we can't help you bypass security measurements on laptops. How are we supposed to tell if the fingerprint was your brothers, or the finger print of the person the laptop actually belongs to?

    See what I mean?

There should still be a password associated with the user name...the password you gave it.

So use that, or call Dell and explain it. They could probably help you once they verify ownership details.

Do NOT bring this up again.
