Yes it does work, but I highly suggest you remove that link - the FastAcces software is not free - you need to pay for it, and the link you've provided offers it as a download without payment.

Yep. It is bundled with some computer, or is provided as an paid option. If you feel that you are entitled to the software, contact Dell. Also, any posts containing a link to the software from a site other than Dell or FastAccess violates the forum rules and will be deleted.

When you order your notebook it gives you the option of having it, but there is a charge. If you did not realise this then fair enough; but why then do you think Dell did not have it on their site?

Meh, anyway, the link has been removed; let's leave this thread to the forum graveyard.

I thought it was ok since it was on the Dell site, the support forums run by Dell. That is where I saw the link.

? I thought if it was there then it may be ok?

You are right it was stupid. Ok so I did something stupid, I think we all do at times.

My question still is what happens when you use it? can you use a password to bypass?

You can set it up in various configurations. Some you can bypass with a password, some you cannot, and some configurations require both the password and facial recognition to unlock the notebook.

It's not bad, it is pretty secure, but it is heavily dependant upon lighting conditions; which is why I got rid of it and complained about it to Dell.

Really? Mine works just fine in plenty of lighting conditions.

But yes, DRFP, in the event that the facial recognition does not recognize you, you can override it with your password.
