Could be an update of some sort I recommend looking into the computers scheduled tasks to see. If you can remember any updates or programs you installed around the time period it started doing this, then that would also help narrow it down.

Hi, I also have a Dell Studio 1555 and have noticed that every morning the battery has depleted although I am careful to hibernate rather than sleep when I shut down in the evening. It sounds like the same issue that Slattery69 has been having.

This happens every morning, but doesn't happen if the machine is put into hibernate in the morning and switched back on in the evening.

Having checked the scheduler logs I can see that a "usertask" has been recorded at 01:23 this morning which says "user log in". The pc is certainly not being used at this time so it must be some kind of task running. There's nothing I can see in the scheduler so maybe it's some service or process. I'm going to see if there are any other logs that may give me more info - but if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

    Cheers
