    dell 1735 fingerprint reader

    my laptop had gone back to dell for a repair, can not find where my fingerprint reader software is located, it is not working. can anyone help to where or how i can switch it back on? thanks

    Which model? Go to support.dell.com, click on Product Support, and go to Drivers and Downloads. There you'll have to pick the series and model of your notebook, or just enter your service tag, and the driver for the fingerprint reader (and pretty much everything else for that matter) will be available for download.

    EDIT - here, I'll just give you the link myself. I'm feeling particularly benevolent today. :p

    That's the thumbprint reader driver for Windows Vista for the Dell Studio 1735. You may have to reboot after installing it, but it should be in working order once you do.
