    dear all, can i change the processor on my dell 2500 inspiron laptop which is about 6 years old and under 1 ghz for a faster one without major motherboard work and software changes.

    my laptop works fine but a little enhancement with more memory and speed is what i will and seek to achieve so positve info please.
