    dell 3 year warranty?????????????

    Dear friends,

    I have purchased dell vostro 1400 recently, there was an offer of 3 year warranty in 2 year price. therefore my friend suggested to buy with 3 year warranty. If i need to send my laptop to dell for warranty , then what about the cost of collection and delivery, will it be provided by dell , or these cost will be paid by me?

    They'll probably either send you a box to mail the laptop in, provide you with a mailing label, or offer to send a repair person to your house.

    Unless you paid for in home service then there is no mailing involved. A technician will come to your house when it is convent for you and fix it in front of you. If the warranty is 3 years return to depot, then yes, upon calling them and verifying something is defective, they will send you the part to fix yourself or a box to send the whole laptop in, and the cover postage both ways.
