I just picked up this Dell 5100 and am having a real problem installing windows XP...it just will not accept it...I installed Windows ME and it works...sort of...no CDrom drive and video resolution is terrible...I checked Dells site and the bios is correct and updated...I am kind of new to Dell's and was just wondering...do I NEED the original install disks from Dell?
Any help will be very good.

I have a Dell 5100 that runs XP. What discs are you trying to use to install XP?
