I have a Dell 6000, with the Intel/PRO 2915 Wireless card .. I was just wondering .. should I let Windows "manage" my wireless .. or use the Intel/PRO thing? .. like if I open up the Intel/PRO settings, it says "Windows is currently managing your wireless connection" .. are there any advantages to the Intel/PRO program managing the wireless connection? .. I'm already getting excellent range ..

For the most part it is fine...I never had a problem with windows managing it. I think that is mostly for turning off the wireless when you are on battery.

For the most part, it is just a preference thing. There isn't any differences between the two -- outside the fact that intel does have problems every now and then. Some users like XP's wireless settings, and some don't so they use intel.

I use the intel because I really don't like XP's service. Intel has a little satellite that tells me how good my signal is and is very user friendly.

If you like XP's settings, then I doubt you really need to change over to intel.

thank you everyone, for your comments!

I think I'll just let Windows manage my wireless .. since I haven't had any problems .. and everything's working just fine ..
