    How is the x700 when compared to the x300. I feel bad now cuz i just purchased it or 1500 nd i could have gotten a dv4000 with x700 for much much less

    The medium-level gpu the X700 is much improved compared to the entry-level X300. It has a 3dmark 2005 benchmark of around 2300 compared to around 1000 for the X300.

    Sigh, x300 is junk in comparison. IF you’re within your return policy give it some serious thought.

    The X700 runs circles around the X300, doing more than twice as well as it or better. Think of the X300 as a Mobility Radeon 9600 and the X700 as the DESKTOP Radeon 9800, and you get the idea.

    i play games such as gta san andreas and need for speed underground. is the x300 good for those?
    havent tried it yet

    also, what about overclocking the x300?
    can it then compare?

    yes, you can overclock the X300, to about the speed of a X600. still gives you less than half the speed of the X700. :)
