hi i'm haveing problems connecting to the net with my 6400, it's ok most of the time but sometimes internet explorer will not connect even though everything seems fine. it's shows that i'm connected to a network with good strenght.

recently i install some vista updates and i can't connect at all unless i do a restore back to b4 they were installed. anyone have any experience of this?
    find a solution maybe?

hi i encountered the same problem with my new i6400 with dell 1390 mini card. Sometimes it would disconnect from my uni network without ever reconnecting again - although i was receiving excellent signals

I managed to get around this by uniinstalling the new dell wireless driver and downgrading the driver to the basic vista one (it identifies it as a broadcom card) - it disables some of the functionality but eversince i did that, i never ran into problems connecting with my wireless network.

    hope this helps

thanks for your reply. i've got an intel pro/wireless 3945abg network card. i can only see one driver for it on the dell support site, it appears to be the one already installed on my system
