Hi all, so i accidently spilled some water on my laptop, i know im a moron. I let it dry for a few days under a fan, and tryed it yesterday. The laptop boots just fine and i hear the windows noise once its loaded, but i cant see anything on the lcd. i then tryed Outputting the signal to an external monitor and it displayed just fine. So i came to the conclusion that its either the LCD or the power port on the motherboard. But now i think it could also be the display inverter, which is a cheap part. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips of what i should do from here? I was leaning towards getting the inverter and replacing it and see if that fixes the problem. The computer is not under warranty anymore, and dell wants over $300 to fix it, so not really worth that.
thanks for your help

define "can't see anything on the LCD" ?
is it dim, blank, not powered on? -
sorry, it is blank, the computer will boot normally and make the windows chime, but i never see anything on the LCD, however if the display cable is not plugged in, the lights on the lcd assembly for wifi, battery, etc.etc. will not light up. but when it is plugge in they light up as normal, but there is always no picture on the lcd.
