Hi, I'm thinking of purchasing the 1 Inspiron 9400, I have found 2 good deals on ebay australia. Both are new.
One is $3000 AUD with 3yr accidental damage warrenty.
The other is $2500 AUD with 1yr standard warrenty.
I'm not sure which to get. Do you guys think It's important to have the 3yr accidental damage warrenty? Has anyone here had to use their warrenty? What was the problem? Any advice welcome! Thanks!![]()

If you can afford it, get the extra 3 year accidental damage warranty. It would bring you peace of mind.
$400 dollars over 3 years is around 130 dollars a year.
If you think you're prone to accidents, I believe it will pay itself off. -
It's personal preference--are you careful with your electronics? Do you want the extra piece of mind? I'd personally save the extra 500 dollars for something else, but I'm pretty careful. From my experience reading around on the forums, Dell is usually very good at replacing & fixing defective/broken computers whether user error or not. If you worry a lot, the warranty may be cheap piece of mind. If you can afford another computer in the worst case scenario, you might want to save the 500.
