dell deylayed my Dell Inspiron 1720

now im just venting some steam because i made my order on the 4/16/08 and they said there would be no delays that it would shiped on
4/24/08
but i just checked my email and they said it was Delayed to 4/29/08
now i know thats not much of a delay but still it steams me when i ordered it that the parts i wanted came up with no delays. they did give me a number to call. I might call them and i ask for free next day shipping or something. because im highly tempted to cancel my order!

Man, chill a bit. Just because they said 5 more days doesn't mean it will actually be that. They over estimate the delay time. It could ship out tomorrow.

If you really needed it so fast maybe you should have ordered it sooner...just a thought...

 

yeah your right i talked to my older brother he said he had to wait a month fo his Inspiron 1710
so 5 days is nothing compered how long he had to wait

 

Yeah, i waited about 5 weeks for my vostro. My replacement took another 3 weeks. You will get it! Just be patient!

 

Wow, I've been reading about a' lot people that have ordered laptops from dell and have to wait like 1 month to get them.
I guess I should be feeling lucky. I ordered a dell d630 on 4/23/08 and it is set to arrive at my house on 5/2/08. I ordered from the business line so I guess that's different than home and home office. With home orders things are different.

BTW I don't mean to brag about the wait time

 

I had to wait 3 1/2 weeks for my HP DV9700T. I ordered my Vostro 1700 April 2 and it shipped April 4.

You can try to get upgraded to next business day shipping, but in all honesty, a 5 day delay is nothing.

 

no worrys ive still got my Toshiba Satellite M115-S30 that i will be playing half-life and team fortress classic and the first counter strike.
I like notebooks better than desktops because i can take them to work with me and listin music and play games while i wait for the truck to arive
I deliver newspapers during the week and stuff the sunday paper on the weekends. Ive got these Creative Wireless Headphone SL3100 headphones
which I can listin to music while work

they just dont work to good around other bluetooth devices.

the reason im coming to the dell side is because of my older brothers Inspiron 1710
its got the 7900GS and i think 1.8 core 2 duo im not sure but it does plays elder scrolls oblivion really well

 

oh yeah it will come, took me a month to get mine as well! but it did ship before there "estimated arrival date"!

 

I got mine within just 4 days after purchase. Singapore that is...

 

just wanted to update you guys it shipped today.
and with out me even asking they upgrade me to DHL express shipping instead of ups ground. which i really like DHL because they always been pretty quick it should be here tomorrow or Wednesday.
Im am really surprise i didn't even call them or anything
just started playing half-life and counter strike
