    My friend upgraded my 1705 to XP professional and now the functionality for the SD and XD card slot has stopped working. Also when he loads up windows now the explorer takes a really long time to work. Any suggestions or drivers that could help would be splendid.

    Download and install the Ricoh drivers from the Dell website to get your card reader working.
