dell i700m vs. sony vaio vgn-s260

Hi guys, I'm currently looking to purchase a small, light-weight and portable laptop and I'm deciding between the dell inspiron 700m and the vaio VGN-S260. I seriously need some help to choose between these two.

Basically, I only need the laptop for school, watching movies, email and msn..

the dell 700m is currently priced at $1599 CAD from dell.ca...

The vaio vgn-s260 is currently priced at $1999.99 CAD from bestbuy..

The most noticeable differences to me are.. (but I know very very very little about computers.. so.. =/ )
- dell 1.8 GHz sony 1.7 GHz
- dell 80 GB sony 60 GB
- dell 12.1" sony 13.3" screen size
- dell 2.5 hrs sony up to 6.5 hours battery life
- with respect to the above, I would have to buy an additional battery for dell which is priced at $129.
- vaio is very VERY pretty
- dell's complete care warranty seems very appealing (spills, falls)

i need to make the decision really quickly since the dell promotions end on thursday? thanksss [ ]
