I would really appreciate anyone help me out with this. Dell tricked me on this one. I bought a dell inspiron 1545 laptop (windows 7 64 bit) and a dell wireless V515w dell printer. I can see the wireless printer in 'devices and printers' - it also says network connected and has an IP that pings fine. but when I go to print a document it does not pop up on the drop down list of printers. I tried to install a v515w driver but it does not see the printer. the wifi indicator is black.

to help you diagnose - I have two dell desk tops (wnidows xp) thy wor fine with the wireless printer. I have a Konica printer at work and my laptop works fine with it. so dont know why the two dont work with each other. ( is it possible the Konica is causing the problem)?

I right click on the printer when in 'device and printers' I dont see option to make it a default printer. right now Konica is the default printer.

any help will be greatly appreciated.
