    Hello all,

As the title said, my laptop won't switch to nvidia dedicated card gt650m when playing game. I only realized this after certain game performed poorly compared to what the card is capable of. I used msi afterburner, and verify that the GPU is at 0% in game. I have tried to set preferred graphic processor to nvidia in the control panel, both for global settings and program settings, run the application with nvidia graphics processor, but to no avail.
I checked device manager, and it shows "the device is working properly." Other things I have tried including installing the latest Nvidia driver (425.31), as well as tried Dell last driver (331.65). The funny thing is that after installing the latest driver, the nvidia card works as it is supposed to, and the game performs so much better. MSI afterburner also shows that the GPU is working. The problem, however, comes back after I shut down the PC. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers 4 times, and it happens like that every time.
I'm not sure what the problem is, but it seems to be no problem with the hardware.
