I have a dell inspiron laptop m5030. "It will not turn on." Come home one day and tried to turn it on and it did nothing. So I have checked the power supply and have 19.4 volts. I opened the case and checked 9 points across the board and have the same voltage. The unit does not light any where and fan does not turn on. It even does not light as charging when plugged in. Do i need to buy a new power button board or new processor or both??? or is there something i forgot to check? Just confused as to what i did wrong?

Okay so you get no lights? Try:

    - Using a known good Dell 90 watt AC adapter
    - Removing the battery and AC adapter, holding down the power button for 30 seconds 2-3 times.

After trying these 2 steps, likely you have a defective motherboard. M5030 should still be under warranty unless you spilled liquid/dropped your laptop. Go on support.dell.com and punch in your service tag and see if you are still under warranty.
