Hello, I recently bought a Dell Inspiron M5030 not even a week ago. It has been working fine until this morning I had one website opened, closed my laptop and came back 5 minutes later. I opened it, but instead of prompting me for a password, the screen remained black with just the cursor visible. It stayed like that and even turning it off by the power button just turned it off. I left it for a bit then turned it on again but the same thing happened. I turned it off and took out the battery but nothing happened. I have turned it off and have just left it alone incase I do more damage. Can anyone help? Like I say the laptop is brand new and I havent downloaded anything except for a few wallpapers.
Any help as soon as possible would be fantastic, thanks.

What happens if you turn it on? Do you see the Dell logo and Windows loading up?
